Adults
- Sanctuary Choir (adult) – Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm
  (beginning August 13)
- Early Risers Choir (adult) -Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15pm
  (beginning August 20)
- Morning Bells (adult) Tuesdays, 9:30-11am (TBA)

Youth
- Youth Handbell Choir (grades 6-12) – Sundays, 4-4:45pm
  (beginning August 24)
- Youth Choir (grades 6-12) – Sundays, 4:45-5:55pm
  (beginning August 24)

Children
- Children’s Choirs – Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm
  (beginning September 3)

Service Opportunities In Our Music Ministry – Directors Needed! ::
With a new season and a new schedule, our music ministry is in need of more directors. Here are the openings:

*Pre-K Choir Director (4 year olds) –
  rehearses on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm
  (9/3 start date)
*Children’s Chime Choir Director (4th/5 th grade) –
  rehearsal day/time TBA
*Adult Handbell Choir Director –
  rehearsal day/time TBA

+ Men’s Choir Director –
    rehearses as needed on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm
+ Women’s Choir Director –
    rehearses as needed on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm

+ these would be offered in 3-4 week segments
    at selected times throughout the year.

CLUMC Praise & Worship Dance Ensemble 2008-2009 Season ::
• When does this start? Starting in August 2008
• Where do we perform? Walk Through Bethlehem, Christmas Services, Easter Season, or when needed during services
• How much time is involved? 3 to 4 one hour rehearsal maximum before the event
• What age can join? 8-10 - Group 1; 11-13 - Group 2; 14-17 - Group 3; and 18-adult - Group 4
• Why? To glorify the Lord Jesus Christ through dance!
• Do we have to be in every performance? No. NO DANCE EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!

If you are interested in joining the Dance Ensemble please email the dancer’s name, age, contact phone number, availability throughout the school year, along with any previous dance training to Amy Blake at blakeamy@sbcglobal.net. If you are a parent and would like to volunteer your time to help with the group please include your information as well.

Meet the Composer Weekend - Jack Schrader ::
Friday - Sunday, September 5-7, 2008

This year, the CLUMC Music Ministry welcomes composer Jack Schrader for our annual “Meet the Composer” weekend. If you would like to be a part of the Festival Choir, there is no advanced preparation required. Rehearsals are on Saturday morning, September 6 and Sunday afternoon, September 7. JACK SCHRADER (b. 1942), arranger, composer, conductor, vocalist, and organist/pianist, serves as Executive Editor of Hope Publishing Company, Carol Stream, Illinois, supervising the publishing and recording divisions of the company. His association with Hope began in 1978. A 1964 graduate of Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, where he majored in Voice and Organ, he also received the Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Nebraska (1966). Further studies in theology culminated in Jack's ordination by the Evangelical Free Church of America (1975). Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he now resides in Wheaton, Illinois, with his wife, Karen. They have three children, Beth, Jonathan and Joel, and currently three grandchildren. Jack is the best selling choral composer in the Hope catalog. In addition to choral music Jack has published collections for keyboardists, instrumentalists and vocal soloists. He was a member of the editorial committee for Hope's most recent hymnal, WORSHIP & REJOICE (2001), in which he has 24 hymn credits. His music is heard in hundreds of churches across the country each Sunday, and he can be seen throughout the year as a guest clinician at choral reading sessions and workshops.
