NEXT STEP... Time To Build Is Now ::
What a great opportunity in the life of CLUMC. The Quail Walk buildings should be gone in the next 30 days and we will have over 200 new parking spaces within a short walk. That is only part of our immediate need. The other part is our building 1A which will provide a new large hall and kitchen to enable our contemporary worship to triple in capacity and bring many more new disciples into our membership in this growing ministry. The space will also allow us to expand our fellowship activities seating 600 in chairs and 400 at tables.
Building costs continue to skyrocket in excess of 10% annually while interest rates are at a low point. It is estimated that we would save at least $1.2 million in total costs if we can get an additional $2 million with the Next Step Campaign to begin our building now versus waiting for three years. Adding new space now allows us to grow in membership to help cover the mortgage payments in the future. The need and the financial benefit to build now are obvious. Achieving the Next Step goal will require great sacrifice by each of us. God will provide to match our faith – go to prayer as a family unit, seek His guidance on how much more you can pledge, and have faith that God will provide. Make that commitment today and turn in your Next Step pledge now. God will bless us all if we put him first in our lives. Please complete your Next Step Card and turn into the church office by Thursday, May 1, 2008.
