Bay Area Meals
on Wheels
Purpose:
Bay Area Meals gives volunteers an opportunity to help provide meals for elderly and/or disabled people in the Bay Area. Meals are picked up at St. Johns Hospital and delivered to approximately 65 clients on 7 different routes. Two volunteers are needed to go on each route.
Description:
Drivers are needed to take meals to clients in the Clear Creek School District Volunteers are also needed to be daily coordinators and to perform administrative tasks. The drivers arrive at St. John’s Hospital at 10:30am and are usually finished by 1:00pm. You may volunteer for 1 day per week or 1 day per month or as your schedule permits. You must have your own vehicle and be a licensed, insured drive. Daily Coordinators and the regular route driver will offer orientation to new members of the team.
