Clear Lake United Methodist Church has established a tradition of ministering to others by doing service projects throughout the year. Click on the links below to find the volunteer opportunity that appeals to you - then take the plunge and feel your life begin to become more meaningful. Be a part of people helping people!

THE GIFTS WE PASS ALONG
Our church is a connectional church (meaning we are connected with all other Methodist Churches). We support the Great Connection with approximately $220,592 per year for Missionary Programs as well as Texas Conference Programs. We also give approximately $325,000 each year for local outreach. We have a special fund – the Emergency Fund – that you may contribute to at any time. This is a special emergency fund for those needing help with bills to supplement Interfaith funds. As a denomination we can respond to missions anywhere in the world in a special way.

We make financial commitments to mission in faith that members of our church will support them. Our mission is more than just helping people. It is a response to what has been handed down to us through our Lord, the greatest gift of all. UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) – You can make out a check any time during the year to UMCOR. The money will go directly for helping people in times of natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, floods and earthquakes. UMCOR can be any place in the world within 24 hours with needed supplies and stay until the area has been restored. Checks should be made out to CLUMC and designated UMCOR. UMCOR was very present during the floods caused by Tropical Storm Allison.

Ministry Tour - Become acquainted with what you and your church are doing to help others. The Ministry Tour will visit Wesley Community Center, Seaman's Center, Interfaith Resale Shop, Habitat for Humanity, Crossroads for the Homeless, Meals on Wheels, and Harris County Youth Village.
