Glory! Gospel Worship XPerience! - Saturdays, 6pm

You Are Invited to a Glorious Gospel Worship XPerience!
Saturdays, 6pm, Wesley Center

The Glory! Gospel Worship XPerience is for everyone! You are invited to come and bring anyone:
* Anyone who is interested in a different worship XPerience
* Anyone who likes Gospel music
* Anyone who is seeking a closer walk with Christ
* Anyone who thinks that church is becoming culturally irrelevant

Why is this worship service named Glory! ?
The Glory of God is an image of our Lord’s greatness, transcendence, splendor, beauty, magnificence, radiance and rapture. God’s presence and is a natural outcome of worshipping God in spirit and in truth. Paul calls Yeshua "the Lord of glory" (1 Cor 2:8) and speaks of "the glory of God in the face of Christ" (2 Cor 4:6). One of my favorite scriptures about Glory is "Christ in you" is "the hope of glory” (Col 1:27). However, our scriptural theme is: I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your Glory (Psalm 63:2)

Off-Broadway Actor Brad Sherrill Performs “Red Letter Jesus”
Sunday, March 25, 7pm – Wesley Center

It took nearly five months for Atlanta-based actor Brad Sherrill to memorize all 20,000 words of The Gospel of John (2009 CLUMC performance). He had plans to present it just once at his home church in Atlanta. But since 2001 Sherrill has performed John’s gospel over 600 times off –Broadway and in professional theaters and churches throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland. On Sunday, March 25 in the Wesley Center, Sherrill will present his new adaptation and live performance of “Red Letter Jesus” (based on Jesus’ words spoken in the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke). “Red Letter Jesus” will have its official theatrical debut at the Theatre in the Square in Atlanta during February/March 2012 but has already been performed on a U.S. tour of churches.
Sherrill, a 24-year member of the Georgia Shakespeare theater company in Atlanta, now devotes eight months of the year to the ongoing U.S. tour of his faith-based theater work. “Red Letter Jesus,” which includes an original visual presentation from Israel and Jordan created by his collaborator and multimedia designer Mark Hickman, is Sherrill’s third live theatrical offering based on biblical texts. He also premiered his original adaptation of Prophets (2011 CLUMC performance), based on the texts of Isaiah and Jeremiah, at Georgia Shakespeare in Atlanta in 2010.
