55 and Better

55 and Better is a senior travel group... singles who are 55 and over and couples in which one or both members are 55 or more. We meet at least twice a month -- one trip and one meeting. In addition, we have extra trips to Astros, Comets and Aeros games, plays and County-Precinct 2 events.

We travel generally by County bus and church bus, however, we've also done a couple of cruises! There are 12 trips a year and a BIG Christmas party. This is our 5th year and as yet, we have not repeated a trip, except to the Museum of Natural Science for their different shows and to the IMAX.

We have done 3-day, 2-night trips, 2-day, 1-night trips, but the majority are day trips -- Houston and the surrounding areas up to 100 miles away. Our Mystery Trips are really popular.

We meet in the church parlor at 10:00A the 3rd Thursday of every month. We talk, have a cup of coffee, talk, sign up for trips and have a program. At about 11:30A, those who can, take off for lunch together. We do a different place every time. We keep the prices down and the fun UP. We all would like to have you come and join us!
