Congregational Care Ministry

Congregational Care... is “reaching out with caring hearts and hands to all who are in need.” We will do this by offering a variety of ministries in a timely fashion for those who are in need.
Stephen
Ministries
A one-on-one listening ministry for those going through a difficult time in their lives. Care Receivers meet weekly with Stephen Ministers for one hour.
DivorceCare
A ministry to those who are separated or divorced from a spouse. DivorceCare meets weekly as a support group. Some social activities are also offered.
Caring
Ministries
Is a geographical grouping of the church membership with a trained Caring Leader assigned to respond to needs of the 10 or so families in their group. The Caring Leader is also to inform the church of any needs of the families.
GriefShare
A ministry to those who have experienced a death of a significant person in their life. GriefShare meets as a support group on a weekly basis for two hours.
Hospals
A visitation ministry with any one connected to the church in three area hospitals. Persons in the hospital are visited each week day.
Some other ministries we are doing now are:
Breavement - A ministry of providing meals for families/friends before or after funerals.
Prayer Ministry - An extended group of people throughout the church pray daily for a wide variety of prayer requests that come in daily.
C.A.R.E.S. - A ministry to families and friends of persons who are homosexual. This group meets monthly for support and informational helps.
Health Ministry - A ministry to encourage better health care of individual through information and a variety of testing opportunities.
Pastoral Care and Counseling - A ministry to those who need pastoral counseling or financial aid to receive professional counseling through counseling centers.
