Purpose:
A Buddy System which includes an outreach ministry to those who live alone in their home, in assisted living facilities or in nursing homes.
Description:
Volunteers call these church members on a regular basis, send greeting cards i.e. birthday cards etc. This ministry also provides personal visits and/or transportation to and from doctors appointments. In case of a disaster each "buddy" will check on the "pal" to be sure their needs are being met. The church is notified concerning the results of the contact. The 3rd Tuesday of each month a lunch is served followed by a devotional or program.
