pastoral care & counseling ::

Purpose:
A ministry to those who need pastoral counseling or financial aid to receive professional counseling through counseling centers.

Description:
Do You Know of a Need?
“I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” - Matthew 25:36
     Congregational and Pastoral Care is at the heart of our life at Clear Lake United Methodist Church. God wants us to love each other and show that love by caring for one another, as a response to the love He has given us through Jesus.
     CLUMC has a wonderful, caring Pastoral Care team. Our clergy and staff meet once a week to review needs of our congregation and share this ministry in offering care by phone calls and through home and hospital visits. But we need your help! Please involve us in advance whenever possible: anticipate needs of aging parents and spouses and let us know when you will be going in for surgery or treatment.
     As a member of the congregation, you may know of needs and concerns before the church staff or clergy does. If you know of someone who is ill, facing surgery, a shut-in, or just someone in need of a visit from a pastor, please take a moment and call the church office. It is always better to hear from several persons than not at all.
“And they will know we are Christians by our love.”
