We provide many opportunities for Christian fellowship and study for people of all ages. The best way to experience these opportunities is to become involved in a small group such as Sunday School class, Bible study, children and youth fellowship or any of the other programs we offer. There is a place for everyone! We are known in the Clear Lake Community as "the Church that never closes." Besides all of our church programs, we offer many classes (from scouts to ESL) all during the week for the community and neighborhood. It has been estimated that between 5,000 to 10,000 people are in and out of our buildings from Monday through Friday each week. You are truly welcome here!
History:
Established in 1964
The church began with a vision by the Texas Annual Conference in 1964. Reverend John Fellers was charged with building a fellowship of Methodists doing God's work in the rapidly growing Clear Lake area. The charter members has a vision and they watched their vision grow as they signed the Charter of the Congregation on December 6, 1964. As both the community and the congregation grew, Clear Lake United Methodist church opened the doors of its first building in March 1965.
Clear Lake United Methodist Church (CLUMC) is a strong, dynamic 3,000 member Church with over 1,200 people weekly in worship and 900 involved in our Christian Education Programs.
