Hospital Visitors

Purpose:
HOSPALS is a program of Lay persons visiting our hospitalized members to communicate love and concern to patients and family members.

Description:
HOSPALS volunteers are asked to visit CLUMC’s patients at St. John’s or Clear Lake Regional Hospitals once per month. On some occasions, it is necessary for a volunteer to visit patients in both hospitals the same day. Visits should be kept to 15 minutes. There is no set schedule, volunteers are free to make their visits during the day or evening. Names & room numbers can be obtained by calling the church office

Volunteers:
HOSPALS needs approximately 40 volunteers. Male volunteers are always needed as well as female. Each volunteer will receive a name and an orientation letter, which covers the HOSPALS requirements along with helpful suggestions for a successful visit. Monthly schedules are sent out.
